Aegina Island

Aegina Island is a popular weekend destination for Athenians simply because its a beautiful island and its very close to Athens. While you are in Aegina we encourage you to take  a ride on the horses and the carriages, walk in the narrow, paved streets and see the traditional houses, the churches with the blue domes and the shops with folk art.

During the day you can enjoy the seaview while having a coffee at the patisserie  shops which are located just in front of the sea.There are plenty of fish restaurants where you can enjoy fresh fish along with quality wines and why not try some ouzo too! This island is famous for producing local peanuts and you can even have mojito drink with Aegina Peanuts! If you are a party animal you might get a bit disappointed because the are no big and fancy nightclubs but you will surely have a good time at cozy bars.

How to get to Aegina

You can easily reach Aegina by boat departing from Piraeus port. The following boat operators have regular departures from Piraeus port

The trip with Saronic Ferrier lasts about 1 hour and 15 mins and you can book a ticket also for your car or your motorbike.

The trip with Hellenic Seaways and Aegean Flying Dolphins lasts about 35 mins but you cant transfer cars or motorbike.

Agistri Island

Agistri is a small island close to Aegina and is ideal for relaxing holidays.In Agistri you will come across verdurous pine woods, sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, traditional colors, quietude, peacefulness and yet an intense nightlife according to the visitor’s preference.

You can reach Agistri by the same boats that travel to Aegina Island and the travel time varies from 55 mins (flying dolphin) to 2 hours (ferry boat).

Poros Island

Poros is family friendly island in the neighborhood of Aegina and Agistri Islands called Saronic Golf. In Poros you can find sandy beaches with clear waters. Great taverns, pastry shops and bars will serve you with a warm smile and locals will be more than happy to give you tips on what places you should visit while you are in Poros.

How to get to Poros

You can reach Poros by the same boats that travel to Aegina Island and the travel time varies from 1 hour (flying dolphin) to 2 hours and 15 mins(ferry boat).

KEA (TZIA) Islands

Kea is the closest Island of the Cyclades to Athens. It is a beautiful  island with traditional settlements, tiled alleys,  archaeological treasures and amazing beaches. It is different from the other cycladic islands simply because several of its areas are full of beautiful trees and rare plant species.Some of the beaches you should visit while you are in Kea are Spathi, Psathi, Orkos, Gialiskari, the Three Beaches.
